Theatre 2,3,4: ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS.....

 Make a brief Christmas List.

It should contain at least two things that you want for youself, and at least one thing that you want for someone else in the class or group that you are in.

Here's the catch:  You can't wish for anything tangible.

Also, your list should be worded in a way that explains who, what, and why.... (You know---three paragraphs or so....1 paragraph for each gift).

Keep in mind that all recipients are Advanced Theatre Students at West Creek High School.

The Bridge Builder Poem

The Bridge Builder

An old man going a lone highway,
Came, at the evening cold and gray,
To a chasm vast and deep and wide.
Through which was flowing a sullen tide
The old man crossed in the twilight dim,
The sullen stream had no fear for him;
But he turned when safe on the other side
And built a bridge to span the tide.

“Old man,” said a fellow pilgrim near,
“You are wasting your strength with building here;
Your journey will end with the ending day,
You never again will pass this way;
You’ve crossed the chasm, deep and wide,
Why build this bridge at evening tide?”

The builder lifted his old gray head;
“Good friend, in the path I have come,” he said,
“There followed after me to-day
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been as naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be;
He, too, must cross in the twilight dim;
Good friend, I am building this bridge for him!”

Theatre 2/3/4: The BridgeBuilder letter.

PLEASE go into detail about what went right, and what went wrong. You're personal successes and shortcomings are so valuable in this process. Treat this as is the person is lost, and you are providing them a map to help them find there way.

Please address the letter to a specific (although unknown) person.  Example:  "Dear Traveler"
