Theatre 4: Thanksgiving

Discuss Thankfulness in your life.

  1. To me, thankfulness is when you show that you're thankful. Not just by words, but by actions. Like making your mom breakfast, or showing her how much you appreciate her.

How I show my thankfulness is by giving my mom a relax day. We would cook, clean, o give her some money to spoil herself. Growing up I learned that just telling them that your thankful for them isn't enough. Actions speak louder than words.

  2. In the spirit and season of Thanksgiving, I thought it would only be right to discuss what I'm thankful for after Thanksgiving day. Thankfulness to me is being appreciative of the things you have in life, even if you don't have all that you desire. Celebrating with extended family instead of in Clarksville with immediate family, gave me some insight on what matters most to me in life. Family.

This year I went to Augusta, Georgia for Thanksgiving and spent it at my Auntie Rachelle's house. It was held there because her and her husband just bought their first house together. The first half of Thanksgiving was a housewarming party and the second half was when we ate. In addition to seeing my Auntie Rachelle, I also saw my cousin, Brandi, who I haven't seen in almost 2 years. I got to meet her two boys and get to know them better. I also met my cousin Katrina and Brittini's babies as well, TJ and Prince. We woke up early this morning and went Black Friday shopping and then came back home to celebrate my Grandma's 80th birthday. Having a 5 day break from school and all the work that comes along with it was very therapeutic for me.

Sometimes in this thing we call life, we can easily get caught up in everything being so scripted and routine. We end up getting frustrated and fed up with things that aren't detrimental to our well being. Like not getting the newest IPhone or your parents getting you the wrong color in the shoes you wanted. When in reality, there's kids out there that would be happy to JUST get shoes. Society has shown us things we WANT in life, not what we need. So this thanksgiving I'm taking in to consideration the things I need. After all, humans only need 3 things to survive. Food, water, and shelter. OH! F.A.M.I.L.Y
