Theatre 2,3,4: ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS.....

 Make a brief Christmas List.

It should contain at least two things that you want for youself, and at least one thing that you want for someone else in the class or group that you are in.

Here's the catch:  You can't wish for anything tangible.

Also, your list should be worded in a way that explains who, what, and why.... (You know---three paragraphs or so....1 paragraph for each gift).

Keep in mind that all recipients are Advanced Theatre Students at West Creek High School.

  1. All I want for Christmas is some simple peace and quiet, I just want my family to finally quiet down and to become calm and I just want more time to hang out with my girlfriend. My sister is a pathological liar and she keeps making up a bunch of weird stories about how the government is chasing her down or how they want to take her kids or how my mom wants to take her kids and now we have to take care of these kids and it's just a bunch of noise I don't want. and with that silence, I just want to hang out with my girlfriend, most people will groan and complain how they don't want to hear about the love an affection but I just wanna lay down and watch a movie with her, a calmer one, eating a bowl of popcorn and eventually ending the movie with a kiss, like we always do. That's all I want. Another thing I want is for another person, Angeline, we just call her Big Toesy. She's finally managed to give her heart out to someone and I'm happy for her, most highschool relationships don't work out but I'd like both my own and hers to last forever, so I can make fun of her all the time when we're older, I might not know her up and down but I still know her and I wish her the best. The guy she's with seems like a great guy. That's all I wish for, maybe this next upcoming year will be filled with surprises and joy for all of us, good health and happiness, new beginnings! I hope for the best of this upcoming year, that is all I want for christmas.

  3. One of the things I want for Christmas is to be able to go back home and visit my family. I want to tell them about the time I have spent here and what achievements I have made. I would like to hear what they have to say and how they are dealing with the pandemic. I love them and I would love to go and see them.

Another thing I want is for me to be able to help support others who may need it. I want to be that person that people can come to when they need it the most, even for the simplest thing. I want to hear their experience/situation and give them the advice or I could just sit and listen.

This wish is for Jonathan. First off, thank you. High School relationships don't usually last, but I hope the best for both of our relationships. I wish he would have the peace and quiet that he wants. Also to have time with his girlfriend. Basically, what he wanted and listed.

Just a last one. I wish for everyone to have the strength to get through this pandemic. To feel like they don't have to give up, that there are people who are willing to fight alongside of him/her. We are with each other, whether we want to admit it or not. Yes, we have different battles, but there would be at least someone who would be willing to step forward to be there and pick you up when you fall.

  4. All I want for Christmas is for my family to have a nice year next year. I can say this for almost everybody, this year has been rough. It has torn us down and ripped us apart. But I want it to be sewn back together, into the most beautiful quilt. Together again at last.

Another thing I want for Christmas is to be the friend everyone turns to. I've been through so much, and I want to help others through that similar pain. Everyone was there when I was in pain. So it is my turn to give back to those who have helped me. I want to give them the life they deserve.

This last wish is for Val Dove. My wish for you is that may all your struggles and hardships end here. May all of what you do make you happy and make your life the best you could ever live. May your future be as bright as the sun. And thank you for being here to guide me.

  5. All I want for Christmas is growth for myself. Really I believe that everyone should grow from something, especially taking into account the year we have had. There is always room for growth in all aspect. For me I want to grow as a person. So that way I can learn from my fears and insecurities. I want to grow in a way that allows me to be able to manage myself and my health and prioritize my well being. I wish to grow into a healthy mental state and work ethic.

I also wish for comfort. Whether that is in the form of contentment in a situation and not getting overwhelmed or being proud of what I've accomplished. I want to be proud of who I see in the mirror. I don't ever wish to stay stagnant but I want to be able to see an up in anything that is going on.

My last wish is for everyone but I want it to be for Julianna in particular. What I wish for you is happiness. True happiness and love for yourself and where you will be. You are always there for me through anything and everything and you always find a way to make me smile. Life isn't ever easy and a lot happens. People face challenges everyday and it's hard to stay positive. I wish that 2021 and Christmas bring happiness, growth, and contentment for everyone.

  6. All I want for Christmas is for everything to be perfectly ordinary. I want to carry out each and every tradition my family has with no flaw. I want peace and quiet and quality time with loved ones. I want a perfectly NORMAL Christmas.

For Christmas I would also like to see my family. As this will be my last Christmas as a "child" under my parents roof I want to soak up every moment of it. I want to feel the rush of happiness waking up Christmas morning, the excitement of making milk and cookies, and helping my brother write a wish list to Santa. I Hope this Christmas can be the light at the end of a very dark year.

My last wish is for mikeworks. I wish that Michael gets everything he works hard for and deserves. He's one of the most loyal and solid friends you could ever have. He has pushed me to be the best I can be for going on four years now. Your hard work does not go unappreciated and I hope you have a very relaxing and very merry Christmas.

  7. There's only one thing I have an actual desire for this christmas and that’s to go somewhere, preferably out of state. Perhaps to a popular tourist spot. The location isn’t as important to as much as the experience would be. I think with everything that’s been going on I’m due to see something new or interest, of course while still staying safe. The likeness is slim unfortunately due to everything that’s been going, so maybe that’s a next year christmas idea.

Another christmas idea/wish is to expand my social circle. There are a lot of people out there in the world. There are even more not too far away from me. I can always learn something new just from hanging out with people, plus it would keep me busy which with everything going on, it’s very needed.

As for my last wish, that would go for everyone since its impossible to only choose one person. I sincerely hope that everyone as a nice and calm christmas, and if you’re going somewhere, you do so safely and come back in good health, that includes mental and emotional, not just physically. Spend time with family and cherish it cause this time is special and shouldn't be wasted

    1. I hope you get to go out of town for the holidays, going to see new places can be a lot of fun, making new memories is great.

  8. My first Christmas wish is to be able to see my extended family again. I haven't seen them since last Christmas because of this whole corona mess. Holidays have always been a family occasion where we all get together and have a good time and I miss that. That's my biggest wish.

My second wish is to get better with my social anxiety. My therapist and my mom told me that I'm withdrawing from social confrontation and avoiding people. I want to be better about it and maybe make more friends in the process. I just want to be a social person in general.

MY last wish is for everyone in my class. I hope you all grow as people and find ways to make your lives better. You all should be able to have happy lives and I hope corona doesn't ruin everything in your lives. I wish you all a happy Christmas.

  9. MY first wish is to have joy in the family. Not everyone will get to see their family for Christmas. The joy and smiles in the family make Christmas so much better. The laughs we will share, I will treasure forever. The joy is what makes Christmas, Christmas

My second wish is that the people I will see on Christmas are happy. Nobody should be sad or feel lonely on Christmas. My family being happy will make my Christmas complete. Happiness has a way of bringing people together. I want my family happy and together.

My last wish is to everyone. I wish that all of you have a great Christmas. I hope that the Christmas spirit has reached you guys. I hope you and your families stay safe through the holidays. Merry Christmas everyone.

  10. My very first wish, I would have to say is to have an regular Christmas with my wonderful family. I know that due to everything going on right now there's a lot of people who wont be able to spend the time with their family that they would like to and its actually sad. Something I would miss is the laughs from my grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts it just don't seem the same.

My second wish is I hope everyone stays blessed and try their best to stay happy no matter what's going on. In my opinion I don't think anyone should be upset, Christmas isn't made for who gets this and that, Christmas is the day to spend quality with family and to just enjoy the memories you have with them. I told people I didn't want a lot for Christmas as long as me and my family is happy and God got us we shall have no worries.

My last wish is that everyone can get along. Something I have always been told while growing up is that life is short and nobody knows they time, so while you still have time make the best of it. Also spend time with family and cherish it cause this time is special and shouldn't be wasted. I hope all is well for my class stay blessed and have a Merry Christmas :)

  11. One thing I want for Christmas this year is for everyone I know and love to be close . I know it's hard at a time like this , because people become distant when they're dealing with stuff such as a pandemic , but I just want to always stay connected with others that are important to me.

Another thing that I wish this year is for me to put more effort in Theater , but also in myself I've been slacking off lately and I want to do better for myself , because I know I'm better than that. I know I can do better I just have to show it.

My wish is to my Theater 4's We've been waiting to be seniors for 3 years and I know this isn't the way we thought this year would go. I know we want more than anything to get everything that 2019 got , but this year we can't. We have been apart of each other's lives for so long and you guys have made me laugh and made me so proud of each one of you. Despite what this year has brought us just remember we will always have each other even through the darkest of times. Kamil , Antonio , Michael , Val , and Julianna I love you guys so much and thank you guys for making me apart of this big family I couldn't do any of this without you guys. <3

  12. my first wish is that corona will disappear and just go away so i can go out and enjoy the environment go spend time with friends go to the movies go outside and play basketball but really go out on a trip and enjoy life without wearing a cloth mask on my face and not have to be worried about how many people is around me.

my 2nd wish is for our basketball season to come back sadly it got postponed because of the pandemic and i really hate this because all i really want to do at this point is hoop like theres nothing else we can do but sit at home now and thats lame my goal is to make a name for myself on the court and help my teammates as well because im pretty sure thats there goal as well this season has been messed up and i hope we will never have to go through this again.

my 3rd wish goes out to kayden pace for our season to come back so we can go out there and get some buckets keep grinding during this off time my boy we gonna come back strong when we get back imma be ready and i hope you are too we got years ahead of us and its our years to take over so keep grinding and stay focused our time is coming soon hopefully this pandemic end soon.

  14. As I get older my Christmas wishes get shorter and shorter. For this year I wish to see far away family. As some of you know I'm not from Clarksville and it's very hard to see my family especially now due to covid.

Another wish that I have is for 2021 to be at least a normal year. Whatever normal looks like now. I want to e able to enjoy my last year in high school before I go off and come an adult. Which I am very afraid to do but it's part of life.

Now for the emotional part so hold onto your tears until the end. My last wishes is that all of us in this program can really call each other family. I know not many of you know me or even remember who I am but I remember every single one of you. You can call me the mother of theater if you will. All I want is for all of you to be safe and come back healthy and ready to make the rest of the year amazing. Now to call out to the best group of people I've every met. The theater 4's. We made it. It was a tough 4 years but I'm glad we all saw it through to the end. I love you guys so much. I love all of you all. My babies

You do such an amazing job at bringing the class together and talking to each and every person, making sure every feels like their a part of the family there. Thank you mother Kamil for making me feel like I'm a part of something special, and have a very Merry Christmas.

  15. All I want for Christmas is my family to come together. It hasnt been the same since my parents split up. Now I know it was a long time ago but still. I remember when we were younger we had all the gifts and everyone was so cheerful.
My next wish is I hope covid passes and we can have our season. We put in a lot of work to not be able to play, too many people have been quarantined because of being close to somebody with COVID-19 and that is not fair to the players. That’s why my mom switched me to virtual next semester.
My third wish is for Tavion Lancaster because I want him to have the best Christmas he possibly can. Don’t forget to put that work in over this little break because we still got games to play. But for the most part have fun and savior these times because I know it’s not the same, but u can still cherish these moments!

  16. My first wish is for the stress I'm dealing with at the moment to subside at least for Christmas. I'm aware stress can't just simply go away, but hopefully I can be distracted long enough to be able to smile. The past few weeks I haven't been at school and the second I came back, we all had to go virtual. I understand it's to help protect everyone, but it's slightly frustrating never knowing if you'll be at school the next day or not.

My second wish is for some good sleep. I haven't been able to sleep lately and I feel a large reason is because of the stress. So maybe if the stress goes away for a moment, I'll be able to sleep. Last night I didn't fall asleep until 4am this morning. I wasn't on my phone or anything- my brain just wouldn't turn itself off.
Lastly I wish Jay Jay a good break. She did her last wish partially about me, but really she deserves it. Jay Jay is always dependable inside the classroom and outside. She is a hard worker and deserves to be happy and healthy. Thank you Jay Jay

  17. My first Christmas wish is for COVID to go away, for families being together, and for people not being sick in the hospital. Christmas should be celebrated in person, not over a screen. I know that face time helps us not spread the virus or get sick, but I wish this Christmas would be different.

My second Christmas wish is to go to my hometown. I am not from Tennessee so its really hard to see my family and friends. I would have loved to spend Christmas under the sun with my family.

My last wish is for everyone to have a wonderful Christmas. I hope everyone stays warm and all of their stress and worries disappear. I hope that everyone gets a goodnight sleep and they are able to be with family.

  18. My first Christmas wish, is to gain the ability to manage my time better. It will help with my grades and in life in general. This is something I struggle with but I need.

Another Christmas wish, I want is to have good luck in the weeks to come. That I wont get sick, and that I learn a lot. I don't normally get good luck but maybe it will be different.

My final wish, is that everyone is safe. That no one gets hurt in the 2 weeks. I also wish everyone, a merry Christmas, happy holidays, and a happy new year.

  19. My first Christmas wish would be to spend time with my parents and brothers this year. I took a lot of things for granted this year, so I want to spend my time with the people I love the most because one day I won't be able to.

My second Christmas wish would be to visit my hometown for the holidays. Chicago is such a pretty city especially in the Winter time. I'd love to go to the Navy Pier, that is my favorite place to go when I visit Chicago.

My finally wish is that everyone stays safe during their Christmas and Christmas break. I hope everyone can enjoy their time away from the school and spend time with all of their loved ones safely.

  20. What do I want for Christmas? I don't really want much. At the moment anyways.

If I had to pick something though, it'd probably be pair of slippers. I walk around the house barefooted and my family gets jealous (not really) to the fact that I can walk out on the cold concrete. So A nice pair of slippers would be convenient. That and some gloves. I may be able to walk on cold concrete, but my hands get the worst of it. So that'd be pretty useful.

And for you guys? IF I had the kind of money, i'd buy you sweaters. But for now, I just wish you guys are able to enjoy your eggnog. That's my wish for all of you.

  21. Dear Santa,

Sorry about my abrupt outburst. We've all had those kinds of days. Scratch the car thing though. I have something better.

I would like peace. The peace that is possible when you view the Northern Lights from the North Pole when the world is still. The peace that is brought by meditating in a Japanese Zen garden. The kind of peace that is obtained when you throw starfish back into the ocean at sunrise.

Another thing I would like is excitement. The thrill of horseback riding the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. The stimulation of camping at the mouth of a volcano. The adventure of investigating a haunted house.

While I'm at it, if I could also make a wish for my friends in Theatre class, I hope for laughter. The kind of laughter that makes you hold your sides. The kind of laughter that makes tears run down your face. The kind of laughter that heals.

Once again, sorry for the outburst. I think I was hangry.

    Merry Christmas,
    Josephina Garcia

    1. Your wish for peace really speaks to me, and I really wish that it was something the world could experience together, even if just for a day, but unfortunately that's just not how our world is. The same way that you hope for laughter for all of us, I hope the same for you. Laughter brings happiness, and everyone deserves at least a little of it.

  22. There are many intangible things that people seek, and I'm no different. Even for Christmas, I have a few nonphysical wishes I hope will soon be granted.

My first wish is to actually have a Merry Christmas, and while that sounds like it should be the easiest thing ever, especially since I'm fortunate enough to get presents, it's not. Wake up, open presents, talk with family, eat food, visit grandparents and see more extended family members, and enjoy the day. That's what Christmas was like for a period of time. But then something changed... I don't know if it's just because I got older or if the tides just decided for something different to be in the cards, but Christmas just isn't the same anymore. Parent's arguing, refusing to see each other's parents, people just throwing money at each other instead of getting a meaningful gift or that thing they always wanted, cousins not wanting to spend much time together. Everything that I know and love about Christmas has been torn and tested, and this year has the potential to be the worst Christmas ever due to the trends of 2020 and covid. I already will either not be able to visit my grandparents and extended family, or will only be able to see them for a short amount of time. Luckily, no serious arguing has broken out between us this year, so I'm hoping that my family will be able to enjoy that special day together this year happily.

Although intangible, that wish seems pretty attainable, contrary to my next one. I have a wish, a dream, for every child out there to have a good Christmas. That doesn't mean everyone has to be showered in presents, since that's not what Christmas is all about, and it's not what makes a good Christmas by everyone's standards. But I hope that every child out there, regardless of what they're going through or what they've been put through, has a chance to be happy. Even if it's just for a day. I hope they get that one thing that they always hoped for, or that they finally get to spend quality time with someone that they love. I know this wish is quite idealistic, and there's not too much I can do to force it to happen, unlike the first one, but I have done something for at least one child to have that. My sister and I did an angel tree kid, which is something the salvation army does every year so that children are able to receive gifts for Christmas through people in their community buying for them, neither knowing who each other are. Our girl was 11 years old, and her needs and wants were simple; she needed hoodies, and leggings, which are simple clothes easy to find, and she wanted chapter books and a cra-z-art nail spa. All of these things were tangible and manageable for us. Such small, simple things, but they will (hopefully) turn someone's Christmas around and make it into a happy day, fulfilling my wish at least partially.

My last wish that I will mention is for this class, a very special one. This wish may be of the utmost importance, and could change the lives of everyone in the class forever, and it would truly be amazing if it happened. I wish for... no one to do anything that would get them threatened by coach, at least not over the holidays. Crazy, right? I know that it's probably the least attainable thing I mentioned.

Wishing everyone a Holly Jolly Christmas, your friend and classmate,
    Kaelani Jordan
