This year I am not directing a skit for Fablefest. I will be doing some of the technical and the behind the scenes as well as hosting with the theatre 4's. An idea that I had was instead of the 3 blind mice and possibly leaving someone out in my class. I came up with the idea to do the 3 little pigs and the Big Bad Wolf.
Me and my partner Emily will be directing our first Fablefest. Our name is called Irrelevant Feedback we really just looked around at the word wall. Some of the students were saying stuff that had nothing to do with what we were talking about, and came up with what is now our name Irrelevant Feedback. So far what the group has come up with is starting off with using Alice and Wonderland, and changing the characters and some of the scenes but that is our base. We may have some bubbles or maybe some sea animals but you will have to find out later when there's more info.
I am directing with Sarah. Our group name is Unfortunate Friends and we have discussed that the title of our play will have to do with a forest because it mostly features characters with stories that are set in the forest. We discussed the idea of basing our play off of Hansel and Gretel because they have the most adventure in their backstory. We had the idea of making Captain America a villain, but now we are working with the Big Bad Wolf. The biggest challenge we have to discuss is incorporating our nursery rhyme into the story. We will use this week to work out the details as we write the story as a team.
I am directing a fablefest play by myself this year. I have a group of seven and they are all very able actors.We call ourselves the passionate pizza rollers. We have gotten titles like little red riding hood, mickey mouse, toy story, Mario brothers, scooby doo and Cinderella. Our nursery rhyme is little old lady in a shoe. Our initial discussion was that we should do little red riding hood with a twist of who ate grandma discovered by the mystery gang. We then thought that little red could be carrying toys and they escape. We are really narrowing down to our concept and adding more details.
I am directing with Lane Brumley and Jada Smith. Our group name is Code Name:Flaming Ice.We have discussed titles that going along with our story so things like The Tales That Cross Paths and Robbery in Paradise.The stories that my team picked is Beauty and the Beast,Lady and the Tramp,Jack Sparrow,Lion King,The Incredibles,Lilo and Stitch and Moana. We were also given the nursury rhyme Humpty Dumpty. We initially were thinking about having all the characters are sucked through a portal with a device and end up on Jack Sparrows boat. We are really just trying to add Humpty Dumpty in the story without making the story weird.
