Discuss your Goals for the upcoming Semester:
1) What specifically do you want to accomplish as a performer, and what must you do to
accomplish this goal?
2) As a leader, what challenges do you expect to face, and what have you experienced that
prepares you to face these challenges?
Something that I want to accomplish as a performer is my characterizing. I want people to be able to distinguish between my characters. Something that I can do is look up videos and portray the voice. Also practicing whenever I get the chance.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader I am expecting many creative challenges. Lip syncs are next up on the list. If I am directing coming up with a story line that flows with the song that we are using. Last year with Purple Rain that was a challeng that I faced. Something that I will take into consideration is the fact that I like to hold on to ideas and not let them go.
something that i would love to accomplish as a performer is getting the audience to feel how i feel. i would also want to work on my characterizing. i want the audience to fully understand why i choose the script that i choose. Something i can do to improve this is i can watch the others and see what they do wrong and try to make mine better. I can also practice different scripts even when im not assigned to.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader i am expecting for the younger ones to feed off of my energy. i am also expecting many hard challenges that i am going to face. i am also preparing myself for my work ethic to grow, which means i put more effort into what i am doing. i have heard the younger kids in my classroom tell me that they only do what they see us doing. i have not faced anything yet. i just have goals
Something that I want to accomplish as a performer is getting better at characterizing and raising my voice. I will accomplish this goal by trying out for more school plays and going to the competitions. So I can get feedback from other people as well.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader, I am expecting to get a lot more responsibilities thrown my way. For instance competitions and lip syncs are coming up. Last year for lip-syncs we did the song I think I love you by The Patridge Family. But we had many problems that could have been avoided if we had simply communicated. So I want to make sure that I am completing my responsibilities in the production so everything can run smoothly and we can to get a good outcome.
As a performer I would like to accomplish actually knowing the play.I would like to accomplish smooth transitions. To improve myself at knowing the play I could read the whole script not just my lines more then once.For better transitions I could have someone record me while i'm rehearsing so I can actually see where I went wrong and what I can do to fix it.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader i'm expecting more responsibilities. I am expecting to run into much more challenges. I feel like all the mistakes I made in my past challenges prepared me not to make the same mistake twice.
That is a great way to understand the play. If you apply that I feel that you will improve tremendously
DeleteOne thing that I would like to accomplish as a performer is try and push myself with my acting. I would also like to accomplish trying to bet better and leading parts instead of side roles. I would accomplish my goal by working harder and harder on memorizing my monologue and characterizing more.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader, I expect to face challenges like more work and huge responsibilities. What I have experienced that will help me face my challenges is knowing how hard that you actually have to work just to get something right. I have also experienced that will help me face my challenges is how much you actually have to make priorities for yourself.
One thing that I would like to accomplish as a performer is to be able to get out of my comfort zone and become a better actor. I can accomplish that by going over my lines on my own and before I have to. I would also work to get ahead and not behind. I will also work harder with my memorization instead of doing the bare mineral.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader I expect to have a more work ans more responsibilities. There are many things that I have experience that can help me face my challenges. I know that being a leader you have to be a lot calmer with people to get their attention.
I know that if you start to work harder and harder you will get out of your comfort zone.
