The song that I have chosen is Graduate Friends forever by Vitamin C.
The beginning of the song is the classic song played at graduation. So what we could do is have a Mini-graduation and then Flashback to their journeys in highschool. Like maybe have a boy slams books out of someones hands and then the end up together. And the at the end of the song everyone hugs and sings along with the song.
The song is basically about a person who doesn't make the best choices, but that person hopes his friends will still be there for them. We could have someone dressed up as superman and portray him as an alcoholic. We can have one of the others play as Lois Lane and the other as Jimmy Olsen. They can be shown on stage as people trying to help our once heroic man of steel. We can also use drugs and alcohol as a symbol of his Kryptonite.
I know we already kinda talked about it in class but I have chose How to Save a Life by The Fray.
What we discussed in class is that this song is about losing a friend, but this song isn't just about losing a friend but losing one to suicide.
One thing we did not discuss is what we can do with this song. One idea I had is that one person can be dealing with a divorce/breakup and another one of the others attempts to help but his/her help was refused. Then in another scene we could have the same person could be bullied and his/her friend could go to help but be denied yet again. We then go to a scene where the person go through all the scenarios isn't there and his/her friends are crying.
This is just a rough draft and there is some room for improvement.
