  1. I feel i performed great, i feel it was better than rehearsals and our group finally finished on time. Our big group performed great, everybody came together and made a good show.
There was a lot of challenges we had. We had to finish our song on time, because if we didn't it could of been too much time e had, or not enough.
Next time we could be more prepared and focus on getting everything together before show night.

  2. I was the director/singer for Everybody Hurts. I think everybody did a great job. They all exceeded my expectations. I am so proud of everyone's performance.

I feel like my performance was really good. There are always rough spots in any performance. The one thing that kept me going was the energy of my piers.

I think the group performance was really good. Though our rehearsals were not the best, everyone was feeding off of everyone's energy building their confidence.

  3. I was in A Friend Like Me. I feel like I performed well, but it wasn't to the best of my ability. I know I could've done much better but I was so nervous that I held back when I shouldn't have. I should've just let go and do whatever my brain told me to.
I think my group performed even better than me. They really came through the night of the show. I was starting to honestly lose hope, until the crowd started to cheer and I didn't expect such a great reaction from the crowd. I was very proud of us after out skit.
Our group had many challenges from the beginning. Between two members fighting all the time to one not being at school for a week, it was really tough. Last night we put all those troubles aside and we focused on what matter the most. We just wanted to entertain the crowd as much as possible.
Next time I would definitely get deadlines done, and just come up with a better sketch.

  5. I helped create and performed in That's what friends are for. From the beginning of the project my group had a good idea of what we wanted to do and how we wanted to put it on stage. We made adjustments along the way to improve our show.
The night of the show my group finished our sketch on time for the first time. Our lights came on and off when they were supposed to and we spent enough time on each scene to flow through our song.
When we my group was getting our lights programed we realized we created our storyboard wrong. This set back the rest of the classes and the people in the booth. We also had very little space to show friends reuniting in the end but it came together once we walked down the stairs into the isle.

  6. I think I did really great last night at performing. I even came up with an idea with Lane which was really last minute. We both discussed it with like, three minutes or so until the ensemble was about to start. And when I performed I pulled it off like I had rehursed it before the show began, but when my scene began that was the first time I performed it. Also my performance to the lip sync this year was way better than I performed last year. I think it was because I was new to high school theater, but I feel like I'm over coming my fear of being scared.

I think the group did absolutely amazing! Our facial expressions were good as well as our body language when we were on stage. Our performance was really good I think the audience really enjoyed our performance. I think they were really amazed with how we pulled it off really well. Considering we didn't practice the ensemble as much as we did our group songs we did really good. Another thing that amazed the audience was the two thousand little papers that said "hold on" because they weren't expecting it and some even thought it was coming from the celling because they didn't see the catwalk.

Some challenges we faced was that some didn't know where to go as in what area stairs to go down towards the audience to give them hugs. Another challenge we faced was hugging strangers we didn't know in the audience . It can be scary hugging strangers but I think some of us were okay with doing that.

Something I would do diffrently is maybe to pay attention to the person you're going to follow out into the audience. I would also make the F on the paper bigger and better to see out into the audience so that they know what they're looking at when they see it. And I think me and Michael's scene when we're arguing I feel like we could of argued longer to show our anger. And after we're done arguing I feel like I could of done something after he throws the paper in his bag. But above all I truley believe we did great!

  7. My groups mini musical sketch got cut out of the lip sync show, so imma talk about our ensemble piece. My experience for the ensemble piece i thought it was simple, it wasn’t hard except for being in that pose throughout the “Everybody Hurts”, by R.E.M. I myself am not ever pleased about myself, so i don't think i did good.

Everyone in the ensemble did good in my opinion, for instance everyone did their part and hit the que pretty good; however i ain’t grading our performance so i don’t know. I guess the most challenging thing is not getting that last rehearsal in right after school before the lip sync, because lane changed little things and most of us wasn’t able to rehearse with those changes.

The thing that i would do differently next time would be more dedicated, more open, and be a better thinker. I know i’m not someone that has great ideas and am not a critical thinker. Anyways, i wish i would have been a better teammatea in the planning stage of our mini musical sketch but it is really hard for me to be creative.

  8. My experience in lip sync was... very memorable. I say this because there were alot of stuff going on during and before our play even went in the theatre. My group was Kamil, DaeKwon, and DarRick and we all had the song Friend like me. Lets start off with the song first. Nobody in our group was upbeat like the song was. The only energetic person in our group was kamil and she was already done with how upbeat the song was at the beginning. So next time ,if i do lipsync again, i won't pick a song unless the WHOLE group thinks its a good idea. (No shade to anyone) The second thing was the people in our group didn't have a good attendance record. DarRick wasn't at school for a week, Kamil was sick for some days, and DaeKwon just doesn't like coming on weekends(no shade again...). It didn't really help that they weren't here because in our group, all of us has a role to play. I think for everyone in the group we need to improve on practicing at home just in case anything happens because i'll tell you one thing, OUR GROUP DIDN'T PRACTICE OUT OF SCHOOL! Just to put that out there. Last but not least the communication in the group was horrible. The only people that would talk in the play was Kamil and I. Kamil spoke half the time to tell us from our wrongs but that was pretty much it. though we all put our ideas out there, we didn't talk more than we should have.
On the night of the show, I had so many things on my mind like, "oh man we are gonna mess up" , "We still should've picked a different song", even "I don't have faith in my group at all". All of that went away right after we performed. My group members proved me wrong with an amazing performance. Though there was a lot of problems going on during the play like us forget a crown, forgetting money, daeKwon giving me the wallet in front of the audience, Kamil giving me the mic... in front of the audience, ect we still pulled it off at the end. I know the way i performed was a lot better with somewhat of a crowd in the audience because i didn't want to embarrass myself in front of everyone, especially my parents and brother. After the play we saw the other plays do a good job and it was an amazing night. I just have one question after all of this. WHO BROKE THE CHAIR?!?! I've been wondering that for the longest, so if you can reply who it was that would be amazing.
