  1. From my experience, I learned how to change the bulbs in the lights and how to set cues up in the lighting booth. While going through this whole experience, I think that the most challenging thing would be trying to take the bulbs out without them breaking and going everywhere. But the most fun was learning about the lights and learning how to take care of them/not damage them. Lastly, I think that I need to go up in the booth more to refresh my memory on how to set certain things.

    1. I also agree about changing the light bulbs on the ellipsoidal lights, maybe we can help each other with changing lights next time.

  3. I had first learned what each of the lights do and what they are used for in either a show or performance. I learned how to take a bulb out of a light. And how to take it out without cutting myself if it was a broken bulb. I learned how to make a cue list up in the booth on the lighting board.

The most challenging thing I did was probably doing a lighting performance. It was most challenging because I had to know what to do. And what buttons on the lighting board to push. But it was more challenging knowing when to name the performance or the cue.

The most fun was doing the lighting it was challenging but at the same time it was fun. It was fun because I got another lesson of how to do lighting. And I got to know how to improve on the lighting. I think I need to just go up in the booth and as somebody is telling me how to do the lighting I need to start taking notes so that I can be more confident in lighting so that I'll be prepared.

  4. I learned a lot from this experience. I learned different stage lights, and how they function, and what they're used for in the theater. I also learned how to change out their individual light bulbs and add color gels.
The most challenging thing for me is telling the difference between which light is which. Also putting in new light because they tend to get jammed and stuck. The most fun was putting in the color gels and seeing them though the light.
I need more practice in getting to know where and what lights would go great for a spot in a show. I also need to become very comfortable in the booth, and know what i'm doing.

  5. I learned from my lighting experience what all the theater lights lights are called. As well as how to change most of the lights light bulbs. Another thing I learned is how to work the light board.

The most challenging thing for me was switching the Edison plugs to three prong plug. As well as hooking up the lights mostly because I am so short.

The most fun was the light board. It reminded me of video editing. Everything seemed straight forward with the keyboard. However I think the hardest thing would be remembering all the light numbers.

I feel like I need more practice with the board. As well as the lights in general. I have not been up on the catwalk and I feel that I need to go up there before I would feel comfortable changing lights there.

    1. I agree that the light board was fun. It gave me a chance to play with new things and get more experience with it. I would love to work on the board with you so we could teach each other what we don't know.

  6. I learned how to make a light Q, if i wanted to set up a quick show and i really learned how to make a name for those q's.

The most challenging thing was trying to work with the command and the touch screen at the same time, and record those q's

the most fun was making the lights come on and then seeing the show after you record them and see how they all come together and make a great light show.

for me to be a good light tech, i feel i need more time in the booth, just to get used to the lighting and be more experience with the light program.

  7. This week of learning about lights was pretty fun. I have learned how to change a light bulb on an ellipsoidal , put in color gels, put up a light, and set up and record a light Que.

the most challenging thing I did last week was taking down the lights on the catwalk because you have to be careful you don't drop the $300 light. the most fun thing that I did was creating and recording a light cue, once you get it down it become pretty easy.

I feel like i need more practice on changing a light bulb for a ellipsoidal light. I don't feel confident on the overall thing and i'm still a little bit confused about it.
