  3. Curtain Speech's are important because it sets the mood for the play and explains future and past events going on at the school for theater. It helps set rules and expectations of the crowd and gives out warnings for potential themes or actions that might be triggering. It also states any fundraising that might be going on at the moment to make it known that donations is well appreciated. It also lets the audience aware of when, if any, intermission is.

  4. A curtain speech is important because it informs the audience of what to expect from the story, the crew, and upcoming events. It also lets the people in the crowd know any help they can provide for synergy studio such as buying snacks from the concession stands or telling others about their work.

  6. Curtain speeches are important because they can help give a little back story and it also prepares the audience for the performance. It gives the audience a sense of mystery and it keeps them engaged right off the bat. In a curtain speech, it can also help create awareness about earlier or upcoming events that the audience may want to attend. It also can make sure that they have double checked their cellphones and silenced them in order for everyone to have a good experience. It can help the culture of synergy studio by having the reappearing audience members expecting a certain type of standard for our plays.

    1. i think a lot of curtain speeches iv'e heard lack mystery and a hook so i think it is a good idea to put a hook as an essential for a curtain speech and really put the elements of the Bologna sandwich

It lets the audience be warned of anything that might be sudden, loud, or if there are any flashing lights; i.e. gunshots. 9. A curtain speech is important because it welcomes the audience. It is an invitation to the audience to connect to the play, each other, and the troop. It's supposed to ease the audience into feeling more comfortable and safe and allows you to tell them about upcoming events and how to support. Explaining the rules of the theater and troop is something else that is incorporated and an important part of the speech. The curtain speech overall explains everything to the audience as well as welcoming them.
It can help the culture of Synergy Studio by making it more professional and seem less high school. It would tell the audience what they need to know and have the experience of something bigger and more elaborate.

  18. A curtain speech is important because it can serve as many things before the play and you can include what you want the people to hear into it. It has things like what the play is about in a brief statement, warnings about certain parts of the play, you can raise money for new equipment, and maybe convince them to come to more productions as well as bring more people. We could use curtain speeches before our plays to make people feel welcomed and to let them know what they came to see. It can also help us clear confusion if there is any and we could give a background if the play is based off of something like Clue the board game.
